Staff Selection Commission (Combined Graduate Level) Tier I Examination 2015 - Morning Shift

The pattern of the Staff Selection Commission (Combined Graduate Level) Tier I Examination-2015 conducted on August 16, 2015 was similar to the one conducted last year though the difficulty level of the paper has decreased marginally. The morning slot (10:00 a.m. to 12 noon) had a single unique question paper with multiple sets. Overall, the paper was on the same pattern as last year.

In this section, questions were from an array of topics and most of them had an easy to moderate level of difficulty. As compared to last year, the Visual Reasoning questions were easier and the options could easily be negated to reach the correct answer. A student could have easily attempted approximately 35 questions in this section.

General Awareness 
This section was moderately difficult. As usual, maximum questions were from Science section (19 in all), which were of high level of difficulty. Geography was quantitatively second in number, having 9 questions. History was third with 8 questions while Economics had 6 questions and Polity had 5 questions. There were 3 questions from Miscellaneous GK. Overall, the paper was on the same pattern as last year, but there were some tricky questions especially in Science and Geography section. A student could have easily attempted approximately 20 questions in this section.

In Vocabulary, there were questions on Antonyms, Synonyms, One word Substitution, Sentence Correction, Spot the Error and Fill in the Blanks. In Grammar, there were questions on Sentence Correction, Spot the Error and Fill in the Blanks. There were 2 Reading Comprehension Passages with
5 questions each. A student could have easily attempted 35-38 questions in this section.
