The Indian Railways conducted the Computer Based Test (CBT) Region wise on 28 to 31 March, 02 to 11 April, 16, 18 to 19th, 22nd, 26th to 30th April 2016. The written exam was conducted in 3 shifts (shift I 9.00 am, Shift II 12.30 am to 11.45 am, shift III 4 pm).
