Qualifying Marks for APICET 2016: Candidate must obtain 25% (i.e. 50 marks out of total 200 marks) to qualify. No minimum qualifying percentage of marks is prescribed for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes.

MBA and MCA admissions in participating state universities and colleges shall be on the basis of the exam. Statistics of last year’s admissions indicate that there are more than 380 MBA colleges and more than 150 MCA colleges in Andhra Pradesh with a sanctioned intake of more than 56000 seats.

About APICET : AP ICET-2016 is the Integrated Common Entrance Test for admission in to MBA and MCA regular Courses offered by State Universities and Professional Colleges. The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) came into existence wef 20.05.1988 through Act 16 of 1988 to advise the Government in matters relating to Higher Education in the State and to oversee its development with perspective planning and for matters connected therewith and incidental thereto. The National Educational Policy, 1986, recommended that state level planning and coordination of Higher Education shall be done through councils of Higher Education and that the University Grants Commission (UGC) and these Councils will develop coordinative methods to keep a watch on standards.
