Name of the Board : Punjab School Education Board (PSEB)
The Meritorious School opened by the state government was meant for students who had secured above 80 per cent marks in Class X. The topper from the district, Prabhnoor Kaur Gill (ranked 10 in the state merit list) with 98 per cent marks hails from Government Senior Secondary School Heir. The school had given the district topper during the previous year also.
The second in the district is Avneet Kaur Randhawa of Guru Nanak Dev Public Senior Secondary School, Chananke. Two more school students; Supreet Kaur with 96.28 per cent marks and Simardeep Kaur with 95.33 per cent marks have been placed in the state merit list.
Another student, Abhijit Mohan Singh from Government Senior Secondary School Heir with 95.78 per cent marks, has made it to the merit list. The third student from a government-run school includes Mridhu Arora with 96 per cent marks from Government Senior Secondary School, Chheharta. DAV Senior Secondary School student Dikshant K Sharma with 95.78 per cent marks and Rashim Kashyap from Sant Singh Sukha Singh Khalsa Senior Secondary School are also among the state merit list holders.
Punjab Board Plus Two Top 10 Toppers Merit List
Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has successfully conducted 12th Class state level Plus two Exam held from 20th February and 14th March 2016. Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) is the state-level body that has the rights to take the lead and conduct the Matriculation and Senior Secondary level examinations in the state every year. Eight students from the district have found a place in the merit list of 341 students declared by the Punjab School Education Board for Class XII today. The list includes only three students from government-run schools and none from the Meritorious School.
