CDS Paper Pattern 2017

CDS Exam in conducted in two phases – Written Exam and Interview. The written examination will be of three papers – English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics. Each paper will carry 100 marks and will be conducted for 2 hours duration. The candidates for admission to Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy will appear for all the three papers. However, candidates seeking admission to the Officers’ Training Academy will appear for 2 papers – English and General Knowledge. The structure of the CDS Paper Pattern 2017 is given below:

The usual distribution for marks and questions is as follows.

• CDS English answer key – There are 120 questions of total 100 marks. Each question carries equal marks.
• CDS GK answer key – There are 120 questions of total 100 marks. Each question carries equal marks.
• CDS Mathematics answer key – There are 100 questions of total 100 marks. Each question carries equal marks.
• Negative marking – one third of the mark assigned to the question shall be deducted for each incorrect answer.
